   / synth4ever   - Synth demo of the Sequential Circuits Prophet 600 analog synthesizer, filmed at the Synth Palace in Montreal, Quebec Canada (www.synthpalace.com or .net).

Released in 1982, the Prophet 600 is the brother of the legendary Prophet 5 synthesizer, but has its own distinct character and sound. The Prophet 600 was also the first commercial synthesizer to implement MIDI and can store up to 100 patches in memory.

The Prophet 600 features 6 voices of polyphony and has 2 oscillators per voice (VCOs - saw, triangle and pulse), oscillator sync, a low pass filter, 2 envelopes for VCF and VCA, arpeggiator, sequencer, glide and poly mod functions (to create FM timbres).

The Prophet 600 is a versatile and capable analog synth and it excels at drones, pads, brassy sounds and cutting leads. The Prophet 600 "Gligli" upgrade also enhances it further with snappier envelopes, more LFO waveshapes, new arpeggiator functions, unison detune and more.

This synth demo features some ambient sounds, patches and presets from the Prophet 600 synthesizer including pads, arpeggiators, organs, leads, poly mod / FM tones and more.

All sounds are from the Prophet 600 synth with delay effects from Strymon El Capistan pedal.
