JNUTA held protest outside MHRD against JNU admin circular for alternative mode of examinations

JNUTA Statement: "In yet another brazen attempt to cover up for its illegal actions and to coerce teachers into becoming its instruments against students, the JNU Administration has today issued yet another Circular that seeks to retrospectively give sanctity to the ludicrous alternative mode of examinations being pushed by the VC. Even this Circular smacks of illegality as the provisions vaguely cited in it are not applicable to the matter at hand and cannot be used to introduce an alternative mode of examinations that grossly violates the Ordinances and cannot pass any academic scrutiny.

The JNUTA reiterates its position that the Administration has to first take the steps necessary for restoration of normalcy and it is only then that the academic activities of the semester can be completed. The JNUTA appeals to all colleagues to join the March-cun-Dharna to the MHRD tomorrow to demand immediate action in this direction."
