It was a pleasure to welcome our alumnus Greg Petersen (Ph.D. Physics '13) back to campus this summer. He led a 3-day workshop for physics and engineering students that focused on software systems design and architecture.

Petersen's dissertation advisor and host Dr. Nancy Sandler comments, "NQPI aims to bring alumni back on a regular basis to share their experiences in jobs outside academia, and this was a prime example of a successful collaboration between an industry representative and our Institute.”
