A half-barrier level crossing located just to the northeast of Liss Station, within the South Downs settlement of Liss Forest. This level crossing retains the twin-arm half barriers to the day of recording, both of which are of a fair length. Most notably, since my last visit, a very faulty alarm has been replaced with a very rare Yodalarm YA50, which looks nearly identical to a YO5, and possibly produces one of the strangest sounds that could ever be heard at a level crossing, and it would not be expected for this kind of alarm to be used, or to hear this kind of noise at a level crossing in the UK. This alarm is of a fair volume, yet isn't massively loud, probably the same level of noise volume as to what's produced by the squeaky, high pitched regular alarm here, and for some reason the noise sounds louder if you stand closer to the direct angle at which the alarm is sounding and facing. There is a pleasant countryside feel to this location, and a small footpath in one corner of a crossing leads to a field on a public footpath. One of the wigwags here is tilted further down towards the ground than usual for some odd reason.
