Overlanding Colorado's San Juan Mountains

For this year's Fourth of July, the Backcountry Beagles decided to overland 10,000 feet up into the San Juan Mountains of Colorado to do some backcountry camping! We visit old mining buildings oat Mineral Point and the ghost town of Anamas Forks while making our way up into the alpine tundra of the San Juans.

We are also doing things a little bit different than usual this trip. New packing strategies, ground tent, coffee carafe, hefty box storage and, more! We are testing out new ways to make more room in the jeep for our upcoming trip to the Rubicon Trail in California.
