Dr. Canuel is often asked how or why he began treating hands and feet. When he began chiropractic school in 1998 his wife Wendy had just completed foot surgery on both of her fee. She asked him to learn as much as he can about the foot so that he may help her. So he did. Many of the seminars he attended included treatment protocols for both hands and feet.

When he entered private practice in 2001 he incorporated chiropractic treatments of the hands and feet along with spinal manipulation. Most chiropractors treat the spine and a few treat the hands and feet although what makes Dr. Canuel unique is his passion and techniques for treating the hands and feet. He has spent years perfecting specific adjustment techniques to adjust all the tiny individual bones in the hands and feet. He has also been selected to join a nationwide small group of physicians in a fellowship called Chiropractic Hand and Foot Clinics of America where they meet several times each year for advanced training along with weekly conference calls and online forum chats.
