2025 Voyah Dreamer PHEV in-depth Walkaround

The 2025 Voyah Dreamer receives significant updates, highlighted by Huawei’s advanced technology integration. Externally, the vehicle sports a redesigned grille, maintaining a similar shape to its predecessor but now featuring 34 vertical chrome strips. These strips symbolize the 34 provinces and autonomous regions of China. The grille also showcases a shadowing effect at the top and bottom, adding depth to its design. Chrome accents further enhance the front lip and air intake edges on both sides, with the air intake themselves becoming more prominent. Higher-spec models are equipped with a lidar unit positioned atop the windshield. The waistline of the car has also been updated, now extending from the headlights to the tail with a straighter overall silhouette. New wheel designs, including one with numerous close spokes, were also revealed during the press conference.

In terms of size, the 2025 Dreamer sees slight adjustments, measuring 5315 mm in length, 1980 mm in width, and 1820 mm in height, while the wheelbase remains unchanged at 3200 mm.

The most notable upgrade comes with the integrating of Huawei’s smart driving solution, the Qiankun ADS 3.0. The system enhances the vehicle’s automatic emergency braking (AEB) capabilities, covering forward collision avoidance from 4 to 150 km/h and providing rear and side collision avoidance. The AEB can also support reversing at speeds of up to 60 km/h. The system detects pedestrians, two-wheeled vehicles, and oncoming traffic, and even adjusts braking smoothly on slippery surfaces. In critical situations, if braking distance is insufficient, the system can bypass obstacles while braking.

Huawei’s ADS 3.0 also improves road and scene recognition through cloud-based and real-vehicle training, allowing the system to make decisions closer to those of a human driver. It introduces the GOD network (general obstacle detection), building on the architecture of the bird's eye view (BEV) network from ADS 2.0. These enhancements elevate the self-driving experience in safety and user satisfaction, supporting up to 160 parking scenarios.

The Dreamer’s smart driving functions are powered by 27 sensors, including high-definition cameras and millimeter-wave radars. A new feature of this model is a 192-line lidar unit from Huawei, further refining its autonomous driving capabilities.
