4 Stages of Being an Artist

You want your work to be honest, have integrity, be clear, be beautiful, be whatever it is that you really love, and then you want to get it out into the world so it can do its magic. That's the goal. What stage are you in?

Stage 1 - You are done with school and setting up your own practice.

Stage 2 - You've been making art for a while.

Stage 3 - You've figured it out - you know what your voice is, you know what your work is, but it is still not smooth

Stage 4 - You've got momentum. You are making and getting your work out into the world

So, give yourself some patience. It's a long road, and it's a worthwhile road. I work with people on every stage of this, so look for what's coming.
