Traded $VERU off my watchlist and with three other stocks they all opened below vwap and continued the down trend. The overall market is doing great due to stimulus hopes and delivery of the vaccine. Small caps didn't have the same momentum of the great news and all were below vwap. I waited about an hour for a POTENTAIL play. I saw the $VERU broke vwap on the upside and waited for a pullback for a dip buy. I entered again too early on the first 1min red candle sticks and got stopped out for a $6 dollar loss. I entered again on a second red candle but the price continued to drop and my stop loss order did not get filled and costed me a $80 loss. If my stop loss would of activated and stopped me out at the price I had already set it, I would have lost maybe $20. But I didn't get filled and costed me $80. That was about it. All other stocks were still trading below vwap and $VERU started to head back down below vwap again. I originally had in my head the idea of NOT trading at ALL today but once I saw the price action break above vwap I kind of forced my trades. I knew there was going to be opportunity for a dip buy but the set ups were not quality and I still forced the trade for a loss. I have to be a little MORE patient for the best dip buy possible. Worst case scenario IF I do miss the dip I can still buy in at the bottom of the next green candle stick and ride the price up with my stop loss trailing. Getting better over all today is the start of the second week trying this strategy and already seeing improvement. My patience is getting better with big picture plays (waiting for price to break vwap and pullback) but need to improve my small picture play (waiting for the first red candle stick to finish forming before entering too quickly/early, even if I miss the dip I can still catch the price action to the upside). Other than that it looks to be a good working strategy. If the market dose not deliver, do not trade.
