The Natural Hazards Center—with support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Science Foundation (NSF)—recently issued two calls for proposals.

Call 4: Community-Based Research on Public Health and Equity supported interdisciplinary research on public health preparedness and response to disasters.
Continuation Award 2: Extending Public Health Disaster Research and Community Engagement in Understudied Areas supported previous Public Health Disaster Research awardees in extending their initial research project or translating their research findings into practice.

This webinar showcased the results from the 10 projects that were funded as part of these two calls. The first 20 minutes of the webinar provided an overview of the Public Health Disaster Research Award program and the funded research projects. Participants then joined one of two breakout rooms where the investigators from each project described their findings in greater depth.
