Aquarium Aquaponics Removing Nitrates With Pothos

Описание к видео Aquarium Aquaponics Removing Nitrates With Pothos

How to remove nitrates in an aquarium using pothos. Naturally remove nitrates without chemicals or water changes.

TOXIC: Pothos ingested by cats or dogs can make them sick. Keep this in mind when placing these plants in and around your home. Most house plants are toxic to animals so be careful when choosing plants.

Aquaponics is an amazing symbiotic relationship between fish and plants. Fish produce waste in the form of ammonia. This ammonia is then broken down into nitrites and nitrates.

Plants are great absorbers of nitrogen in all forms so they provide an incredible opportunity to benefit aquarists, and those growing fish for food.

Pothos are a terrestrial plant that requires very little light and is a nitrate sucking machine! Adding these plants to our aquarium allow the fish to live in an environment that is purified by the harmful waste materials they create.
