Previously in paralogues, Balthus and Hapi got to feature in a battle to reclaim the Vajra-Mushti. This time, we get a story featuring Yuri and Constance!

The long and short of it is, the Church has gotten word that someone in the imperial nobility has a Relic, and they've asked Constance to negotiate its turnover to the Church. Yuri, sneaky guy that he is, wants to tag along. Apparently, Constance doesn't have the authority to refuse him? Weird. Also, the noble that has the relic has a personal connection to Constance because her house and his worked together when Dagda and Brigid invaded the Empire, but while Constance's house was ruined, his retained its status.

Anyway, we arrive just in time to see this nobleman under attack by some weird band of thieves, so naturally, we have to come to his rescue, because we're the good guys.

This map seems awfully big, but I can't remember if we've seen it before. Anyway, the goal is to rout the enemy and keep Duke Gerth up there safe. He can hold out against most of his attackers, but we still don't want to dilly-dally. There are gonna be plenty of reinforcements, and there are no two ways about that. Also, some of them are gonna be monsters, because of course.

But with victory secured, Duke Gerth is so grateful that he's willing to give up the Relic as thanks. It's not just for saving him just now, but also because he owes House Nuvelle, probably because they took the fall that allowed House Gerth to not only remain standing but hold its status as Minister of Foreign Affairs, if I had to guess.

And wouldn't you know it, the Relic is the Fetters of Dromi! As a reminder, it's an accessory that adds +1 movement and Canto to an infantry unit, and if the wearer has the Crest of Aubin (i.e., Yuri), it also grants Aegis and Pavise, giving them a chance to cut incoming damage by half.

So, you know, pretty worth it!
