DiResta Steel Finger Joint Stool

Описание к видео DiResta Steel Finger Joint Stool

This steel finger joinery technique that I used to build a steel stool is a concept I came up with while looking at my clasped hands while sitting on an airplane. I was also inspired to build this steel stool by old metal toys that were assembled using similar steel joinery techniques. I always have my notebook with me, and in the video you can see the actual sketches of this finger joint technique that I used to build the steel stool. I often do quick out of focus sketches at first, and in time I make a more accurate sketch of an idea. The metal that I used for the fingers joints to build the steel stool is a 18 ga cold rolled steel sheet. I used adobe illustrator to make the vector line. I in the video I show the step by step finger joinery ”build" of the pattern. The steel stool is held together with the finger joints only, and without any welding!
