David Grusch Delivers Opening Statement at UAP Hearing

A former military intelligence officer testified before a House committee today that Congress has been kept in the dark about unidentified anomalous phenomena, or UAP (a.k.a UFOs).

David Grusch served in the Air Force and National Geospatial Intelligence Agency for 14 years and had been part of two Pentagon task forces investigating UAP.

He disclosed that, in 2019, he was informed of a long-running 'UAP crash retrieval and reverse-engineering program' during his work on classified programs. However, he says he was denied access to these programs when he requested it and accused the military of misusing funds to hide these operations from congressional oversight.

Grusch received nationwide attention after an interview he gave about the topic to The Debrief in June. Grusch spoke to The Debrief after several big news outlets—such as The NYT, Politico and the Washington Post—had rejected publishing the story prior to The Debrief due to skepticism over Grusch’s claims, according to Vanity Fair.

Both the DOD and NASA have issued statements saying the agencies have found no evidence to support many of Grusch's claims.
