Описание к видео How International Adoption Changed My Life | Alexander Kuch | TEDxUPM

Alex's parents were told by a psychologist that he would never lead a normal life or attend university. Being adopted from Romania by a German family and living for 12 years in New Zealand changed his life. He shares why he believes that international adoptions should be practiced with the best interest of the child in mind, as it can change a child’s life forever. Alexander Kuch will be sharing his personal inspiring life story, expertise and work in international adoptions and children’s rights, for which he was invited to present as one of the youngest presenters at the world largest adoption research conference, ICAR6, in Montreal and participate at the third Asia-Europe Foundation Young Leaders Summit on ethical leadership and 12th ASEM summit where he was invited to meet with high ranking government officials from Romania, Germany and New Zealand. For his global work as an Ambassador, he has been awarded with numerous awards, including being named a Young New Zealander of the Year semi-finalist, and a Royal Commonwealth Associate Fellow. Alex was also one of New Zealand’s youngest Rotary Peace Fellowship nominee. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
