This video is to bring you a closer look at the Trimco 1265 Door Holder. This is a real good example of really nice quality hardware by Trimco. I'll show it to you one part at a time as I remove it from the packaging. So first and foremost, you've got the business end of this which is the portion that's going to attach to the door. Showing it to you in the 2060 Satin Chrome finish, several different finishes are available. You will probably want to pull up the link at this time to the cut sheet below this video showing you dimensionally everything important about it. So we won't be linger all of the points here, however I did want to share with you some basic concepts and basic ideas on this door holder. These sorts of door holders in my experience are best used on heavy doors and steel doors actually better. Used on wood doors sometimes so you've got to be real careful on how you position the height of the body. Absolutely follow the template very closely because if you've got too much tension on this roller and there is a spring behind here it will be very difficult to push the door over the strike and it's also very load too at that point. And there's the strike on the 1265. This is the real giant floor strike, this is the "C" dimension shown in 2-1/4". So the idea is that this is mounted to the floor obviously. This is mounted to the door and of course it just comes in and that beveled face to the strike as you can see that roller is going to hit that. The roller is going to compress the spring when it hits that forcing it to go up and then dropping down below just like this. That's what your installation is going to look like, something in that range. There's a rubber stop that's attached here so when you push the door over, naturally the door is going to make contact with the face of the strike, so they've got that rubberized tip there. Let's get a tape measure and check this. They are showing us 3-1/16" overall body width, does appear to be basically correct. 3-16", 3-1/8" Overall height of 3-1/2", closer to 3-11/16" I would say. 3-3/4". Yes they are saying 3-1/2" but its closer to 3-3/4". There is a design difference between this and the cut sheet. The cut sheet shows ovalized or elongated holes for the screws and this one does not feature that. There may have been a design change and the cut sheet has not been updated. Be real accurate with your positioning so you don't have a problem with this being too tight or too tough to push on and off the door. It could become quite loud if you are trying to do that. The strike height, they said is 2-1/4", let me check that. Yea, it is indeed 2-1/4", its hard to show you because of the tape on front edge, but there it is 2-1/4" overall height. The base is quite wide. They are giving us a base dimension; I don't see it real quick. Overall base width is 4-1/8", overall base depth 2-1/4". What I like about this series of items by Trimco is you've got your door portion and with the door portion is going to come with every imaginable anchor that you could need. They've got machined screws in here, they've got wood screws, they've got plastic anchors, and they've got lead expansion shields. That's going to hit every surface that a door or condition that you need to go into. Why they've got lead expansion shields, I don't know for the door, but none the less, they are there. Then your strike portion same thing. Wood screws, machine screws, plastic anchors, and lead expansion shields. That's going to cover every flooring condition I can think of pretty much. That's nice when you are dealing with a company like Trimco because they...the solutions are pretty well thought out ahead of time. That makes it nice working with them on stuff. They send you the material equipped to do the job. Not only that but it's very good quality material. The fit and finish is always real good with Trimco. Lead time in days to ship or manufacture is always well worth the wait when you are dealing with Trimco. Good quality stuff. Heavy, this, all this here weighs just under 2 lbs.
