The "highlight reel" video of the votes by the 99th Congress on the Hughes Amendment ("1986 Machine Gun Ban") that is circulating appears to be confusing to some viewers. The edits to the video may be hard to follow and can end up being misleading with regard to the actual votes on the Hughes Amendment.

This is the full video footage of the relevant votes for the Hughes Amendment (H. Amdt 777 - Record vote 74) and the overall passage of the Firearms Owners' Protection Act (HR 4332 - Record vote 75). The 15+ minute electronic voting periods have been sped up. Other than that, the footage is complete and in order as we received it.
