Take a sunny, spring day in far northwest Wales and do a rail trip to the capital, Cardiff, a 4½hr journey condensed into just over half an hour.

Along the way, we'll see the coast of north Wales - including a brief look around Llandudno - and the majesty of the Welsh Marches.

It's also a trip back to our train's birthplace, CAF Newport.

Join me on a Class 197 meandering the Welsh (and some English) countryside. Kettle on - mug of tea at the ready!
