The French Ambassador was forced out of the embassy in Niger. The French have refused to leave the country and refuse to withdraw their troops, even when the citizens and government have requested and canceled agreements between both countries.

On the 31st of August, The Niger's military rulers announced that they have "instructed the police" to "expel" the French ambassador in Niamey, in a letter to Paris seen by the AFP news agency on Thursday.
According to the letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sylvain Itté "no longer enjoys the privileges and immunities attached to his status as a member of the diplomatic staff of the French Embassy".
His "diplomatic cards and visas" and those of his family members "are cancelled", the letter states, adding that the Niger police "have been instructed to proceed with the expulsion" of Mr Itté.
The French refused to leave, arguing that the new junta is illegitimate and thus has no authority to make such a request.
In the early hours of today 14th September, The French Ambassador was forced out of the embassy in Niger.
