Prawns Recheado Masala Recipe:

Prawns - 500gm
Oil - 3 tbsp
Onions (finely sliced) - 2 nos
Coriander (chopped) - For garnishing

Marinade :

Dried Kashmiri Chillies (deseeded) - 15-16 nos
Ginger - 1 inch
Garlic - 7-8 cloves
Cinnamon - 1 stick
Green Cardamom - 2 nos
Cloves - 3-4 nos
Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
Tamarind pulp (without seeds) - 2 tbsp
Peppercorns - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Sugar - 1 tbsp
Salt - 1 tbsp
Vinegar - 3 tbsp

Cooking Instructions:

1. In a bowl, add kashmiri red chillies, ginger, garlic, whole spices, turmeric, tamarind pulp, salt, sugar, and 3 tbsp vinegar and let it soak for 35-40 minutes.

2. Blend the marinade to a thick fine paste

3. Mix the marinade with the prawns till it coats evenly on every prawn and let it marinate for 1 hour.

4. Heat a pan, add oil. Add the sliced onions, saute them till they are golden brown.

5. Add the marinated prawns and cook it till oil splutters from the sides and the prawns are cooked.

6. Transfer it to a plate, garnish it with chopped coriander and a lemon wedge. Serve it hot.
