Colonisation in India

In this module, we look at colonisation in India shaping international law, focusing in particular on (i) the colonial origins of Indian legal systems (ii) impact of the East India Company (iii) the evolution of Indian Penal Code (iv) the legacy of sedition laws (v) modern reforms and legal challenges.
