Behind the Voices of My Father's Dragon

My Father's Dragon is the latest original animated feature to hit Netflix, and fans are loving this feel-good flick. These days, we’ve come to expect that most major animated features will have celebs voicing their characters. Still, not every celebrity that we love has a totally recognizable voice, and of course, some actors alter the way they speak when providing the voice for certain characters. As a result, it’s not always easy for viewers to identify every voice that they’re hearing when watching an animated movie. This can especially be true when the cast is totally packed full of stars… or when a star’s voice completely changes between the time when the movie is recorded and when it premieres. Well, believe it or not, both of these scenarios were the case for My Father's Dragon. Whether you’ve seen this movie and heard the characters’ voices yet or not, you may know a few of the stars who lent their voices to characters in the film. Others, though, may come as surprises. My Father's Dragon has quite the surprising, star-studded cast, and even many minor characters have very famous voices, as well as the movie’s leads. From Stranger Things’s Gaten Matarazzo and Room’s Jacob Tremblay spearheading the film to some more surprising cast members, like Whoopi Goldberg and Rita Moreno, you may be surprised by some of the folks who make up this amazing cast.
