During the 7 February open day at the Brisbane Transport Museum, bus 185 (one of the 166 'Butterbox' buses to have been operated by the Brisbane City Council) operated public rides for the first time in preserved condition. The Butterboxes were initially bodied by Comeng (who bodied 95 Volvo B10M MkII buses for the council), but after Comeng went bust - Queensland Bus Builders were tasked with bodying the remaining 101 of them (2 Volvo B10M MkII and 99 Volvo B10M MkIII). 185 is one of the two Volvo B10M MkII buses to have been bodied by QBB, and the bus operated in the Eastern Suburbs of Brisbane until being withdrawn in 2010. It was donated to the QOCS in February 2012 for preservation.
