The Starmer-Scholz bromance: what does Labour want out of Germany?

Описание к видео The Starmer-Scholz bromance: what does Labour want out of Germany?

Keir Starmer has been in Germany visiting Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Next, he’ll head to Paris to meet President Macron. The Prime Minister said that a new UK-Germany treaty will be part of a 'wider reset' with Europe. However, he says there are still no plans to negotiate a new Erasmus-style youth mobility scheme, and warned he wouldn’t take the UK back into the bloc’s single market.

What’s behind Starmer’s ‘reset’ with Europe, and what will it really look like? The Spectator’s political correspondent James Heale is joined by political editor Katy Balls and Sophia Gaston, head of the foreign policy unit at Policy Exchange, to discuss.
