The Future Journalists’ Parley 2025, hosted by the Nigerian Army in collaboration with the African Centre for Media and Intercultural Dialogue (ACMID) and the Mass Communication Students’ Association (MCSA), University of Lagos, brought together students, media leaders, and security experts to discuss the theme: “Harmonising Diverse Perspectives for National Security.”

This landmark event, held on 11–12 August 2025 at Afe Babalola Hall, UNILAG, featured thought-provoking sessions on media literacy, intercultural dialogue, youth empowerment, digital literacy, and peacebuilding in Nigeria.

Keynote speakers and dignitaries included:

Lt. Gen. Olusegun O. Oluyede, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Nigerian Army

Jibrin Baba Ndace, Director-General, Voice of Nigeria (VON)

Senior academics, student leaders, and media professionals

The Parley provided a platform for students across Nigerian universities and communication schools to engage with national leaders on issues of fake news, online incivility, ethnic harmony, religious tolerance, and national security.
