Hi there, it’s Peggy Yee with your April 2022 Market Report!

Hope you guys had a good Easter, Passover, Ramadan, or just enjoyed the weekend!

The Northern Virginia real estate market is continuing to pick up speed with a 51% increase in closed sales in March compared to February. We also have an uptick in new listings, so buyers are seeing more inventory out there, but the median days on market is 5 days. So even though buyers are seeing more properties available, they still need to jump on any properties they like. The median list price to sold price was 103%, meaning sellers typically got more than their list price.

We are also keeping an eye on interest rates and if they’ll have a significant impact on our market. We’re seeing some areas ease up a little bit, but in general, the market is still very busy so please reach out to us so we can take a look at what is happening in the specific neighborhoods and areas you are interested in!
