One of the most beautiful experiences I had recently was at a Bridal Retreat in Jaipur this August. Imagine a room full of glowing would-be brides, all excited, nervous, and curious about the new chapter of their lives, and I got the chance to be a part of it!

I had so much fun training them in saree draping (trust me, it’s an art and a workout at the same time!). But the retreat wasn’t just about sarees, the brides also learned about personality development, financial independence, relationships, beauty, health, and so much more. Honestly, it felt like a crash course in “How to be the best version of yourself before marriage.”

You know, when we got married, things weren’t this complicated. But times have changed. Today’s brides, our Gen Z queens, need to be prepared, confident, and organised for every situation. Because let’s be real, it’s easy for people to say “just compromise”… but how much? That’s something every bride should know before stepping into her new life.

This retreat was full of eye-opening moments, laughter, and even a few teary-eyed conversations. And let me tell you, the brides who missed it… you really, really should join the next one. (Consider this your friendly FOMO alert!)

The best part? We had brides from all across the globe. Different cultures, different stories, but the same sparkle in their eyes. It was such a joy interacting with them, and I came back with my heart so full.

Surbhi is a dear friend of mine from Jaipur, and whenever I need traditional jewellery with just the right touch of modern elegance, she’s the only one I think of.
So, to all the would-be brides and even the newly married girls, if you ever get a chance to attend a retreat like this, don’t think twice. Because marriage is not just about the wedding day, it’s about preparing yourself for the beautiful (and sometimes hilarious) journey that follows. And trust me, you’ll thank yourself later!
