Peschici is a town and comune in the province of Foggia in the Apulia region of southeast Italy. Its territory belongs to the Gargano National Park and to the Gargano Mountain Community.

Peschici is situated on the north-eastern coast of Gargano promontory, 9km east of San Menaio, 14km from Rodi Garganico, and 19km west of Vieste.

The town sits over a karst spur facing the sea, with a height of more than 100m; the territory features a number of coastal watch towers.

In today walking tour, I will take you around the old town of Peschici, entering its churches and its Norman Castle, where you can visit the Torture Museum.

The Norman Castle dating back to between the 10th and 11th centuries. It was built to cope, as for all the fortifications in the area, to the raids of the Saracens and pirates.

Inside, some ancient artifacts are exhibited and cultural exhibitions are periodically set up. A must is a stop at one of the terraces inside the castle, where you can admire a splendid view towards the sea.
