Kaprije (Italian: Capri di Dalmazia) is an island in the Croatian part of the Adriatic Sea. It is situated in Šibenik archipelago, 15km SW from Šibenik. It is named after the Mediterranean caper plant, the buds of which serve as a spice. It has area of 7.11 km2 (2.75 sq mi) and population of 189, in the eponymous single settlement on the island. The island is composed of hills divided by transversal and longitudinal valleys where grass and sparse pine forests grow. Grapes and olives are cultivated there. The island of Kaprije, but also the entire Šibenik archipelago, is characterized by the Csa type of climate (Mediterranean climate with dry hot summer or olive climate).The main industries are agriculture, fishing and tourism. Automobiles (except official and service ones) are not allowed on the island.
Kaprije je otok smješten na središnjem dijelu šibenskog otočja. Smješten je oko 15 kilometera jugozapadno od Šibenika, površine je 7,11 km2 i ukupne duljine obale 25,211 km.
