By: Michelle London, Reporter\nAs the Taylorville High School football team prepares for their big homecoming game on Friday, another student-group, known as Purple Reign, is preparing to root the Tornadoes on to a victory and make a lot of noise from the stands.\n"The first home game was pretty fun, we had a lot of people and the first touchdown we did like silly string and everything," said Purple Reign Member Bella Paisley. \nPurple Reign is not your average cheering section.\n"Whenever I explain it to people, I say it's like a high school version of the orange crush for U of I," said Lee Mateer, Co-Creator of Purple Reign.\nWith more than 440 students involved, it makes up more than half of the student body at Taylorville High. \n"It is the largest group we have here at the high school; we try to keep the game day experience pretty fun and loose for them." \n"We have a like a calendar of select like cross country, soccer, golf, volleyball games that we go to," Paisley said.\nThat includes every home game during the football season. Their mission is to bring the student body together for team support.\n"You don't have to have any special skills or anything you get to cheer on the tornadoes as one big group," said Carrlie Bitschenaur, Purple Reign Member.
