Telescope 80mm Aperture 600mm - Astronomical Portable Refracting Telescope Fully Multi-coated High Transmission Coatings AZ Mount with Tripod Phone Adapter, Wireless Control, Carrying Bag. Easy Set Up

I wasn’t expecting anything crazy to be honest. This telescope is super cheap compared to the prices i’ve seen for other telescopes. I thought i would get something lower quality for a lower price, but it wasn’t like that at all! Instead I was super impressed! I was shocked at how high quality my view of the moon was! The craters and contours of the moon were so beautiful up close, it was like it was right in front of me. The photos i managed to take over the course of a few nights does not do the actual view justice.

I’m not sure if it’s my own error, or I just need a more powerful lens, but I haven’t yet been able to view Saturn or Jupiter despite their larger size compared to the other planets.

Overall assembly was pretty simple and I got everything together in a couple of minutes. Also easy to take apart and store away or travel with. The tripod may seem wonky at first, but you just need to make sure you lock the leg after extending or shortening it. Heads up for the finder scope, the objects are supposed to look upside down and inverted. Once you aline your object around the center of the cross, you only need to fiddle a little with the main eyepiece to find your object. It’s easier if it’s a smaller magnification.
Beware of the phone mount though. If you have a big or rather heavy phone, it can tilt the telescope downwards.

I bought the Hexeum Telescope 80mm Aperture 600mm for my son as his birthday present, he helped me assemble it and it was pretty easy to do. The manual should add more detail at how to safely stored the lenses in the tray for when you are not using them, we figured out that keeping the caps is important but the only way to have the lenses stored in the tray without falling is by removing the caps. Also, we lost the very small manual for setting up the app to take photos with the iphone, would be nice to have it printed in the manual as well. The operation of the telescope is quite easy and my kid liked the crossing mark to first detect the object and then zoom in with the various lenses available. Looking at the moon craters and all the details with the bartow lenses made my son's day and mine as well. Very happy with this purchase.
