25/04/2024: How can Europe fill the clean heat gap?

Did you know that three out of four households in the EU still rely on fossil fuels for their heating? Yet it is crucial that all switch to clean heat for the EU to meet its climate and renewable heating and cooling targets and increase energy security and affordability.

But which European countries are leading the way, and who is trailing behind? Discover the answers by tuning into this webinar, which will present a new analysis of how 12 European countries are doing on the path to clean heat. On Thursday, April 25th, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM CEST, the Clean Heat Coalition will present an independent report by Trinomics, which evaluated national policies and timelines for phasing out fossil fuels in heating, incentives supporting clean heat, and training and support systems in place for the clean heat transition of 12 EU Member States.

Based on the analysis the Coalition will also present policy recommendations for both the EU and national government on heat decarbonisation. The next European Commission and Member States must make clean heating and cooling a priority, strengthening European industry, reducing EU emissions and freeing European households from their dependency on fossil fuels at volatile prices.
