Some screw-ups on my part:
First, I covered it later, but you can't spring the bonus victory points from hand on someone else's turn to try and snag victory; you only win while it's your turn with enough points.
Secondly, the important rule: building a Settlement requires two paths of space between it and the next nearest Settlements and Cities.
