KANSA WAND FOOT MASSAGE:

DESCRIPTION:-

Kansa wand foot massage relieves foot pain & removes acidity & detoxifies the skin calming & restorative for the body. Improves blood & lymph circulation induces sound sleep & reduced eye strain It restores a healthy prana flow. Takes away pain from overstrained feet. Ayurveda highly recommends indulging in foot massage or "Padabhyanga" every day before you sleep.

Kansa foot wand works effectively on foot for stress relief, relaxation & mind-body rejuvenation. The soft contour of the bowl relaxes the foot by moving it gently on the foot arch. It draws out heat, negativity, toxins from the entire body.

It was an ancient practice to massage with Kansa to cool, calm the body & relieve eye strain & assist lymphatic drainage. Regular use restores & balances body’s innate energy, prana. Helps in a deep absorption of oils used during massage rendering the foot skin soft, supple, nourished & healthy.

BASIC FOOT MOVEMENTS WITH KANSA WAND:

1. Circular clockwise & anti-clockwise .
2. Zigzags.
3. Moving in number 8 pattern.
4. Moving back & forth.

You can customise your massage ritual using these movements or follow the instructions below.

DIRECTIONS :-

* Sit comfortably bending the leg so you can massage the foot sole easily.
Lie down if a therapist is massaging.
* Apply the Amrit Ras Foot Oil or Amrit Ras foot cream or Ohria Cold Pressed Sesame oil, Ohria Coconut Oil on foot.
* Massage in firm circular movements on the foot sole for some time. Then glide the Kansa back & forth along the sole from toes to heel.
* Alternate between circular & gliding movements. Concentrating on the sole bed, heel & pain area if any.
* Circular movements on each toe & massage the toe joints & top of toes.
* Massaging on sides of heel & foot with same circular movements.
* Glide the Kansa making the number 8 on the foot sole.
* Massage softly back & forth on top of the foot.
* Wipe off any excess oil.
* Repeat these movements on the other foot.

KANSA WAND CARE AND CLEANING:

* Clean the Kansa by dipping the metal head in soapy water for some time. Make sure the wooden handle is not dipped in water.
* For an organic cleaning, mix a teaspoon of wheat flour, half a teaspoon of vinegar and a pinch of salt. Rub it on the metal top, rinse and wipe dry.
* Store it in the cotton pouch to keep it away from dust & dirt.
