Japanese Azalea and Maple Garden, Daikozenji Temple

Описание к видео Japanese Azalea and Maple Garden, Daikozenji Temple

Please visit us at: http://botanyboy.org/ Each spring in late April to early May Daikozenji Temple in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan explodes into flower. The prime blooming plants are hirado azaleas (similar in appearance to southern indica hybrids), Rhododendron degronianum, and viburnums. The 18.5 acre temple grounds are home to no less than 50,000 azalea bushes and around 500 maple trees, all under a canopy of Japanese cedar (Cryptomeria japonica) and native hardwoods, especially Castanopsis sieboldii. The spectacle is pretty amazing, so sit back and enjoy the ride. You can read about the garden in greater detail at: http://botanyboy.org/a-japanese-azale...
