tent, RV, Camping,Cruise america review, naples, tampa, lower keys, seven mile bridge April Vacation 2021 From Fernandina Beach Florida all the way down to the Florida Keys. This vacation took us 5 Days, and we travelled nearly 1200 miles. Starting at the First Coast Florida.--all the way down to The Southern Most Tip of Florida. The Cruise America RV was very good. It drove well, and the people at our pickup site were knowledgeable and got us going right away. We did have a hi-cup right from the start. It did not dampen our trip, but I must mention it, so you can be aware. Our RV was ready and waiting for us. We picked it up, went home, loaded the RV.(took about 1 hour). We thought we were on our way. My Husband discovered that the cigarette lighter in the Dashboard, did NOT work. This was a new vehicle.- We are big electronic folks, so that was a no go. We had a satellite radio device that plugged into the lighter, so the cigarette light was a must. For our phones and ipads to be of use/charged while driving. Luckily, our pickup location was only 5 miles from our house. We went past Cruise America location, and was able to switch vehicles. That process delayed us about an hour, but It wasn't that bad. We got back on the road, and all was well.
First Over-night stop was Camp John Dickerson State Park. It was fun and beautiful. The overnight park fee was $22 plus taxes.
The next night to travelled 132 miles to The Miami Ever Glades Encore RV Park. Very nice. Lots to do there. Then off to the Keys. We stayed 2 night at Boyd's RV Campground. It is kind of pricey, but it was nice. It's surrounded by a beautiful body of water. You can boat, fish, camp sites right on the water. They were about $160/per night.(April 2021).

Boyd's is only about 5 miles from Duval street, where most Tourist want to see. From Key West, we took off for Naples on The Gulf. It is so beautiful there. We stayed at Marco RV Park. Most of the lots there looked like the folks live there full time. It was very quiet and clean. It was a short evening there. We left the next morning pretty early. (8am). We had a long day of driving ahead of us.
From Naples thru most of the day,, it rained. After 7 hours of driving, we made it home safely back to Yulee/Fernandina Beach. Here are some of the websites of the places we stayed.
