Changes since 2011:
-----SQLServerCE vs. SQLServer Files
Sample code refers to SQLServerCE and needs to be tweaked by removing the CE from database objects and the imports. Also, Crazy Ninja Mike's tutorials refer to an Access database so they need to be adjusted for VS 2013 or 2015.
-----Un-modified sample scripts from the class' pages or crazy Ninja Mike don't meet all the requirements or get many points. Neither do sloppy interfaces with misaligned inputs or prompts.
-----beware that our virtual lab assistant Crazy Ninja Mike's tutorials are for Access, and need to be adjusted to use SQLServer Files! His Tutes are helpful and appreciated, and get him lots of eKarma, but they are for earlier versions of .NET and link directly to outdated code! Take care to use SQLServer Files for 2013 and SQLServerCE for 2012. Do not use the OLE versions from pre-2010! Use the links on the class' page. Mike's explanations of the sample scripts are helpful for most students, are very useful when cautiously updated to use SQLServerCE...
-----No Code is Available for the GS Form
Note about 'GS/GoodsAndServices Maintenance': There is no code posted by Ninja Mike or the class' website for this other form. The instructor expects you to be able to adapt your 'Account Maintenance' form to handle GS, or investigate some other OO technique to do it.
-----Crazy Ninja Mike's INFO465 tutorials have a complete BE/Account form that I see reflected a lot, and I reference that as our virtual lab assistant for those who don't want to tilt at this on their own.
-----The #1 cause for 'corruption' appears to be failure to let Visual Studio create, and register, each of the event scripts. The sample code is presented in this way to help make students aware of which events are important. Copying an entire form class from the website or Ninja Mike will likely corrupt your project, as will klutzing around with object and control names...
-----Please use Crazy Ninja Mike's INFO465 tutorials if you're using VB.NET. But, be careful, as all will need to be updated to use SQLServer CE (VB2012) or SQLServer Files (VB2013)
