Before we get started, you need to first create a free account on WeChat.

On your iOS or Android phone, go to the App Store and search for “WeChat”

Download the app

Follow the instruction in English to create your account

IMPORTANT: You must associate your phone number with WeChat. For users in the United States, there’s a drop-down to choose your Country Number (i.e. +1).

There may also be a voice recognition step.

Upon signing up, you’ll get a text message delivered to your phone to verify your identity. This step is crucial to using WeChat to log into Ximalaya.

If you do not complete this step, you will receive an error from Ximalaya, though Ximalaya will give you a second chance to enter your phone number. We recommend you associate a phone number immediately when signing up with WeChat
