Hey there! In this lesson, I’ll show you how I defended my YouTube channel and got it monetized, even after facing issues.
If your channel got rejected, suspended, or demonetized, this method might help you.

Hey guys, welcome to the Jimmy Studio. In this particular course, I will take you through the steps on how I made a proper appeal video and got monetized within 24 hours.

To apply for membership in YPP, channels must meet eligibility thresholds related to watch time and subscribers. Following application, only channels that meet eligibility thresholds and follow all of YouTube's guidelines will be admitted to the program, which makes them eligible to receive access to ads and other monetization products.

If you are a creator, I believe you already know the requirements for monetization on YouTube, which are:

1. Get 1,000 subscribers with 4,000 valid public watch hours in the last 12 months, or


2. Get 1,000 subscribers with a valid number of public Shorts views in the last 90 days.

Before making an appeal video:

Ensure all the content on your channel is your original content that was created by you.

Review your channel carefully. If you have content that is not originally yours or looks similar/exactly like another channel’s content, or if it violates YouTube policies, delete it.

If you delete more than 3 pieces of content after being rejected for monetization, you must wait 30 days before you can reapply.


Here are things you should keep in mind:

1. Study your rejection email – Read your rejection email carefully. It will tell you the specific policies that your channel violated and how to start the appeal video.


2. Go to your YouTube Studio – Read the policies on what is allowed and not allowed on YouTube, and check the languages accepted for monetization.



Appeal Video Guidelines:

1. Choose one of the languages accepted by YouTube that you speak best.


2. Start the appeal video by mentioning the language you are using.


3. Within 30 seconds, mention your channel URL and channel name (write down your channel URL for easy accessibility).


4. Address the email YouTube sent you—state the reason why your application for monetization was rejected.


5. Mention and show the apps you use to create your videos. Explain how you make your videos from scratch and show a screen recording of the apps and websites you use for editing.


6. Explain how you get video ideas—if possible, show a script or some ideas noted in your phone's notepad or a notebook.


7. For reused content, mention YouTube’s Creator Common Law, which states when and how short clips can be reused.


8. Categorize your videos based on their similar edited patterns.


9. Conclude your video properly.


10. Keep the video under 5 minutes—make it 4 minutes, 58 seconds long.


11. Upload the appeal video to your channel as Unlisted, then copy the link and submit it under the appeal section in YouTube Studio.
