Your Experience

Improve the way Student Service Fee allocation is communicated and utilized

Publish NISG allocation of the Contingency Fund in public spaces for students to see (i.e. Union, Facebook, Twitter, NISG Webpage)

Ensure the funded resources are widely accessible to students

Maintain relations that Tom and Blake already have with the Northern Iowan to ensure that we are transparent with the student body



Identify opportunities to upgrade safety and modes of transportation across UNI

Explore how to expand modes of transportation on campus, including establishing bike lanes, continuing current efforts to establish a bike share program, and properly allowing skateboards and rollerblades on campus

Expand the efforts of Tom and Blake with public transportation offered by UNI and MET Transit



Establish a One Stop Shop for New and Current Student Organizations within the Student Involvement Center

Present information about Budgetary Process

Provide guidance on outreach and recruitment

Help organizations with transitioning leadership or in need of guidance

Provide opportunities for organizations to work with one another for on-campus events and activities

Establish Active Communication with the Student Body

For the past few years, candidates promise to provide more communication between NISG and Student Orgs, but we feel there needs to be stronger communication rather than open communication

We will establish clear goals for our Director of Public Relations to spend majority of their duties in establishing stronger modes of communication

Establish monthly, detailed communication from executive office to student leaders



Maintain and Expand UNI's image throughout the State, the Midwest & the Country

Staying up to date with current UNI accomplishments vs. Iowa and Iowa State to report back to the Iowa Legislature

Push for students to represent UNI by participating in conferences, lectures, and research

Work with Alumni Relations to build stronger connections with our Alumni and current students



Highlight Diversity through both Education and Inclusion

Support and encourage Student Organizations that promote diversity on and around campus

Promote Diversity Inclusion across campus organizations

Expand Diversity Award to Student Organizations



Reinforce Purple Pride across campus

We appreciate students' passion or commitment to other major universities on campus, but for one day of the week Purple Pride should be visible

Want to work with President Ruud, Athletics, and Student Organizations to promote UNI pride campus-wide.
