Most of us are familiar with Tej Patta, Tej Pat, or Bay Leaf. It's an essential spice of our cuisine. Due to its medicinal properties and a characteristic taste and aroma it has been being used in most part of the world to enhance the flavor of meal. The essential oil present in Bay Leaf is also used as a herbal medicine in various diseases. The Bay Leaf plant can gain a height of 50 ft or above if planted in a ground, but being a slow grower, it can also be grown successfully in a pot or container very easily.
