This is Max's third visit to Xi'an. Although Xi'an has long been a core city in northwest China, for me, Xi'an has always been a mysterious ancient capital.
Every time I come to Xi'an, I am intoxicated by the unique charm of this ancient capital of 13 dynasties.
This visit to Xi'an is during China's summer vacation. Students from all over the country like to come to this most popular tourist city in China during the summer vacation. So my video captured a large number of people. This scene is also one of the signs of Xi'an as a popular tourist city.
-------------------⭐⭐
Xi'an is more than 3,000 years old and was known as Chang'an in ancient times.
For 1,000 years, the city was the capital for 13 dynasties, and a total of 73 emperors ruled here. Xi'an is the undisputed root of Chinese civilization having served as the capital city for the Zhou, Qin, Han, Sui and Tang dynasties.
With so much history within the ground the city lies upon, it is no wonder that there are so many historical ruins, museums and cultural relics to be found here.
It was already influencing the world outside of the Great Wall of China as the eastern terminus of the Silk Road. Here traders from far and wide brought goods and ideas for sale and took goods and ideas back with them to their native countries.
In present day Xi'an not much of its former glory remains within the city confines, due to the constant warfare and political changes that swept China particularly throughout the 20th Century.
Today the city has a pleasant cosmopolitan flair to it and it is worth visiting for the famed Terracotta Warriors alone. It has often been said that, "if you have not been to Xi'an, you have not been to China!"
Once the terminus of the Silk Road and a gathering place of cultures and religions, as well as being home to emperors, courtesans, poets, monks, merchants and warriors, the glory days of Xi'an (pronounced 'see-an') may have ended in the early 10th century, but a considerable amount of ancient Chang’an, the former city, survives behind the often roaring, modern metropolis .
Xi'an’s Ming-era city walls remain intact, vendors of all descriptions still crowd the narrow lanes of the warren-like Muslim Quarter, and there are enough places of interest to keep even the most amateur historian riveted.

The Great Tang All Day Mall
-------------------⭐⭐
The Great Tang All Day Mall, also called Grand Tang Dynasty Ever Bright City, is a 1,500m (1,640yd) pedestrian street, located south of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and west of Tang Paradise.
It is line with buildings featuring Tang Dynasty (618 - 907) architecture and sculptures telling Tang stories. In addition, tourists can enjoy street performances, a variety of food and shopping here.
Every January and February around Chinese New Year, extra activities are held, so it can be one of the best Chinese New Year destinations for you.
The best time to come here is at night after the lights are lit up and people start to gather to have fun. Since the pedestrian street is in traditional Chinese style filled with antique atmosphere, many visitors choose to get dressed with traditional Chinese clothes to enjoy a trip back to the ancient times.
All the trees in the Great Tang All Day Mall are decorated with yellow LED strips around the trunk and colorful bulbs on the branches, shining brightly at night.
Also, the traditional-style architecture is lit up by spotlights in the air and the bright lights of the buildings themselves. Tourists can also appreciate the lights on the ground, which are shaped like snowflakes, leaves, flowers and Chinese characters. You will feel as is you are walking on a giant painted scroll.
