NFH Survey reveals alcohol consumption in Bihar; Can we implement a liquor ban? | The Urban Debate

On The Urban Debate with Tanvi Shukla, today we discuss the data that has been provided by the National Family Health Survey 2019-2020, which explains that consumption of alcohol in rural Bihar is 15.8 percent and is more than urban Bihar which is 14 percent. As per the data, it states that Bihar is not a dry state in the complete sense. Rajiv Ranjan Prasad of Janata Dal explains the dynamics of it in Bihar. Gopal K Agarwal, National Spokesperson states that ‘Simply because implementation has not been very effective, does not mean the law in itself is not required. Corruption is everywhere. More vigilance is required’.
