Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is located in south China, adjacent to Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao of China, bordering on the Beibu Gulf in the south and Vietnam in the southwest, with a land area of about 240,000 square kilometers and a population of approximately 57 million. It is China’s only ethnic minority autonomous region situated along the coast, the river and the border, and has the largest ethnic minority population in China, with the minority population accounting for 37.5% of the total population of the region. Nanning, the capital of Guangxi, is the permanent venue for the China-ASEAN Expo.
