Every Tamiya RC fan back in the 1980s wanted to own a Tamiya Avante. With its stunning looks and amazing design, it was at the top of most boy's Christmas lists for years. Unfortunately the price of one of these back in the day was well out of reach for most family's budgets. Well after a good few years, I finally get to finish restoring my own 2001 Avante.
In this video, I replace the old bodyshell with an NIB vintage original and return yet another classic to vintage shelf queen status.
