It’s cleaning day! 🧹🦉 Our barn owl nest boxes have just been cleaned as part of our annual maintenance routine. We clean the nest boxes once a year when there is no breeding to make sure we don’t disturb the owls while keeping the boxes safe and healthy for future use. Old pellets, feathers, and debris are removed to reduce parasites and prepare the site for a new breeding season.

This simple act helps ensure the continued success of barn owl breeding programs across Israel and beyond. Captured by Charter Group Birdcams, this behind-the-scenes look shows how science and care go hand in hand in wildlife conservation.
