This was an adventure. I was so nervous about doing this, for some reason. I dunno why. I hope it helps someone. I've been needing to do this to the car since I bought it in July of 2019. Procrastination done right, eh?

Short answer: disconnect the sensor BEFORE you do anything to the coolant reservoir, you may save yourself some trouble.
