Five member gang of online cheating Cyber fraudsters of Jamtara arrested by Cyber Crime Police, Cyberabad.

The Cyber Crime Police, Cyberabad arrested a five member gang of online cheating Cyber fraudsters from Jamtara District of Jharkhand State for cheating the complainant to the tune of more than 5 lakh rupees by taking Internet Banking credentials by sending phishing Google link.

Brief facts of the case:

Brief facts of the case are that on 23.10.2019 received a complaint from a eminent doctor that on 21.10.2019 she received a message on her mobile that her debit card is going to be blocked and asked her to visit the link sent on her mobile and instructed to enter the KYC details of her bank account. Upon which she entered all her bank account credential including the internet banking credentials in the link of Google view form received on her mobile. After which multiple transactions were taken place in her account and an amount of Rs.5,29,000/- was transferred to different e-wallets on 22.10.2019.
Basing on the above complaint a case is registered at Cyber Crime PS, Cyberabad and investigated into.
