Vintage Lens Test - Helios 28mm f2.8 - Made In Japan!!!

Описание к видео Vintage Lens Test - Helios 28mm f2.8 - Made In Japan!!!

For today's Vintage Lens Test, we're looking at a Helios 28mm f2.8 M42 screw fit camera lens, made in Japan in the 1980s. From what I've been able to find, the importers of Zenit Cameras and Helios lenses - TOE or Technical and Optical Equipment Ltd, wanted to broaden their range of available products, so they sourced some Japanese made items, rebranded as Helios, to sell along side the Soviet made products.

I bought this lens attached to a rather battered Zenit TTL camera, but the lens itself was in good enough condition to use without a rebuild.

In the video we'll test the lens at different apertures, shoot some general shots and record some video footage to see how it performs as a budget video lens.

The entire video was filmed using Panasonic Lumix GX80 cameras (also sold as the GX85 in some countries), with most of the audio recorded on a Tascam DR-05X audio recorder.
