In May’s monthly lecture, Harmanleen Singh discusses how prescribing medications can cause harms in patients with a high medication burden, and the importance of deprescribing potentially inappropriate medications. He also discusses getting involved in research at medical school, including his experience of conducting an Independent Research Project on Deprescribing, presenting research at conferences and publications.

Harmanleen Singh is an incoming doctor, graduating from BSMS in June 2024. He is a Teaching Mentor with the BSMS Outreach Team, a Student and Foundation Doctor Representative at the Royal College of Physicians and a Vice-Chair of the Overcome Research Ethics Board, pursuing his interests in research, medical education, and widening participation in medicine.
